AROHA TOURS RAPA NUI

Stopover on Easter Island

Special excursion for cruise passengers.

Welcome to Easter Island: an unforgettable stopover for cruise passengers.
When you decide to take a cruise, each stopover is an opportunity to discover new horizons and live unique experiences. If you are lucky enough to stopover on Easter Island, prepare to be amazed by the mystical beauty of this isolated place in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Easter Island is a maritime destination far from any inhabited land.

Known locally as Rapa Nui, it is a volcanic island located 3,600 kilometers off the Chilean coast and 2,000 kilometers from the nearest inhabited destination, Pitcairn. It is one of the furthest places from any civilization on Earth. It is also home to the enigmatic stone statues known as Moai, which make this island a fascinating archaeological and historical site.

When your cruise stops at Easter Island, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and culture of this unique place. To do this, the best option is to take a guided tour, since there is a lot to discover and learn and it is a legal obligation for anyone who wants to visit archaeological sites.

A vast sea voyage of several days, weeks or months to discover its gigantic statues that have fascinated the world for centuries. The first inhabitants (Polynesians) arrived by sea in fragile boats after such a long journey. The first Westerners too.

Now it’s your turn, but, and that’s good for you, on much safer and more comfortable cruises. Whether it’s a trip around the world or anything else, you won’t stay more than a day or two on the island. To make the most of your stopover, nothing better than a complete guided tour.

This program is specially prepared for you. From the moment you disembark until you board again, I am completely dedicated to showing you as many archaeological sites as possible and presenting you with the most beautiful panoramas. If you arrive first or last, my time doesn’t matter.

Optimize your circuit is the key word. Everything is organized to help you make the most of your stopover.

*The duration depends on your disembarkation and boarding schedules. AROHA TOURS RAPA NUI has no relationship or influence on your arrival time at the pier. Although it is usually announced at 8:00 a.m., your disembarkation may take place at 10:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m. The duration of the circuit would then be the time remaining until boarding. The price will be the same as for an entire program.

Easter Island-Rapa Nui does not have a port large enough to allow cruise ships to dock. Therefore, the latter anchor some cables offshore and passengers disembark in rowboats that transport them to the pier. Estimate about 20 minutes of travel by sea. But for this it is essential that the sea is not too rough.
It may happen that disembarkation cannot be carried out and passengers leave without having been able to set foot on land, without having been able to visit the island. Deposits paid will not be refunded.
