How many days should I plan on Easter Island?
Three to four nights at least. Flight times eat into the days of arrival and departure: over four nights you are left with three full days, enough for two tours and one hike without rushing. Below three nights, part of the island has to be left out.
Do I need a guide to visit the sites?
Yes. The archaeological sites lie within the Rapa Nui National Park, where you must be accompanied by a resident guide accredited by Ma’u Henua, or by a Rapanui adult. The park entrance ticket is also checked at each site.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, ideally as soon as your flights and accommodation are confirmed. Aroha Tours runs 100% private tours only: never a shared departure: every tour is made for you alone. The number of available dates is therefore limited, and busy periods fill up well in advance.
